|: ART SHOW INFO:|
Thanks for visiting the Celebrate Denver! Art Show! Our goal is
to showcase Colorado Artists in a fabulous new setting…the
new and expanded Colorado Convention Center. You’ve read about
the incredible new spaces on our other pages, and as you explore
your new facility, you’ll be treated to original works of
art from many Colorado artists and the galleries that represent
them. Yes, their works are for sale. Some of these artists have
been commissioned by the city of Denver, and their art will be all
around you as permanent public displays.
Be sure and see the special display and miniature of Lawrence Argent’s
“I See What You Mean”. The “Big Blue Bear’,
as we affectionately call it, will be a 40 FOOT piece that in April
of 2005, will live on 14th Street, “peeking” through
the three-story glass windows of the Colorado Convention Center.
We’ll have a display of the 8” maquette, (a small model
of an intended work), and preliminary drawings and sketches which
will give you an insight into the artist’s mind and creativity.
There will be many opinions on this piece, and you will be the first
to see it.
We also have a surprise for you…LIVE ART! We’ve got
glass blowing, painting, pottery and more. So as you stroll and
enjoy your surroundings, in between the wonderful art from Colorado
artists, you’ll see demonstrations of their craft.
We hope you’ll make the art experience at Celebrate Denver!
one you will never forget. We look forward to seeing you.
